Her Story

She graduated from Boston University in 2013 with a major in Finance. She ventured into the Ed Tech space in 2016 where she commissioned KPMG to work with me to get a detailed understanding of the industry, key players etc. They also conduct an in-depth marketing study to understand the pain points of teachers, students and parents.

Currently we are providing tutors to students across India and are hoping to tap into the international market very soon as well.

GuruQ, a one-of-a-kind digital platform, is designed based on insights drawn from comprehensive consumer research to address the need-gap for quality tutors. It has been set up with a dual functionality, that of empowering the tutor community while also meeting the objectives of students and parents.

For tutors, GuruQ acts as a platform where they can connect and teach students, gain recognition, manage time efficiently and increase earnings. Students and parents on the other hand can use the platform to scout for tutors in their locality and make an informed choice on the basis of past reviews and ratings. They can pick ‘GuruQ Certified’ tutor options for primary, secondary, higher secondary and undergraduate courses. The digital platform not just works as a search engine to locate tutors for offline classes; it offers online tuitions by way of enabling online classes by tutors. GuruQ also helps them manage timetables and assess progress.

Her Achievements

• Awarded the BW Disrupt Young Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2019.
• In terms of GuruQ we now have over 30,000 tutors on GuruQ and over 2Lakh mobile app downloads.
